I-Werk

Competition: I-Werk for the power plant

We won the competition for the design of the I-Werk in Neuaubing. It will be built on the large area of the power plant with the halls of the former railway repair works. Craftsmen and technicians used to work here to repair broken wagons and trains, getting them back into working order. The history of the terrain is present everywhere, in the halls and hallways, which are criss-crossed by old, oxidized, rust-red railroad tracks. I-Werk means innovation plant: history is nurtured, a bridge into the future is being built.
